This was a repair. I already knew what happend before I tore into it! The owner claims no water pumping out, and that was just it. If you don’t use Bissel Carpet Cleaner in a Bissell machine, it causes damage to the pump and other workings. Thankfully, I was able to free the pump up and get it working again, but there was another problem. It still wouldn’t spray at the hose. A thick solid mass had clumped up in the supply hose internal of the suction hose. It was $39.99 for the hose assembly, but I managed to get a 20ft piece of hose for $2.88, and I was actually able to replace it. Not any easy operation, about an hour. I made sure I got the old hose out first before attempting to find a replacement. Now, it’s good as new. I dry clean my carpet, so I used my kitchen floor for test and vid purposes! I don’t like to get it all wet. Sorry for the poor vid quality.

Ok I am looking to purchase a carpet cleaner for our family and currently the two that are at the top of the list are the Hoover SteamVac All Terrain and Bissell ProHeat 2x Clean Shot. After looking at the specs I’m still unsure of which one to purchase. So, I’m asking for feedback on the use of both to see if it will help me choose the best one.
